The annual WWE 2K video-game series now has more of “The Champ,” John Cena.
Forbes released details on the Cena (Nuff) Edition of the game, which is due out in stores in October. This edition is limited to 30,000 units and comes with a $149.99 price tag. That said, it’s full of plenty of extras for any Cena fan. It has so much that even non-fans have reason to cheer.
The special collection comes with the Deluxe version of WWE 2K18 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Deluxe version includes two playable characters for both Cena and Kurt Angle as well as playable legends, Batista (fresh off “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”) and Rob Van Dam. It also includes the complete season pass for all future downloadable content.
The extra Cena additions include special box and game packaging. Gamers also will get three exclusive cards (Cena, Batista, RVD) for the mobile game, WWE SuperCard.
There also is an exclusive Mattel Cena figure featuring two shirts. One says his name while the other sports “Cena Nuff.”
The centerpiece to the Special Edition is a piece of the ring mat from the 2017 Royal Rumble, where Cena won his 16th world championship. The plaque also includes an autograph.
WWE 2K18 features Seth Rollins on the cover. Angle’s inclusion in the game is the first for the veteran, who returned to WWE this year after a long layoff.
The WWE video game series stretches back to 2000. There have been more than 15 games in the series, which officially became known as 2K in 2014, when new ownership acquired the rights. This is the fifth game in the 2K line, which has seen improvements throughout the years.
Fans who pre-order the Cena (Nuff) Edition at select retailers will receive the game on Oct. 13, four days before it’s released to the general public.
